What inspired it
Started from a simple thought: blood types don't recognize skin color. We are separated on the outside, not on the inside - yet we treat surface differences like they define everything. Written thinking about neighbors who look different but live the same struggles, families praying for safety, kids inheriting divisions they didn't create. Originally written in 2023 and rewritten in June 2026 as the divisions deepened.
Production story
Written in E flat minor at 120 BPM, the arrangement was built to feel like emergence - something breaking through tension toward clarity. The guitar work from Han Jun Ryu shifts from restrained verses to an open, breathing chorus. The string arrangement from Damian Bolotin and Nadav Skloot adds warmth without sentimentality. Harmony vocals from Angel Clare and Hyunju Lee reinforce the unity the lyrics demand. Mixed by Yago Marques and mastered in Dolby Atmos by Luciano Vassão as an Apple Digital Master.
